'A bit of musicality, please.' Fran - Strictly Ballroom

Musicality brings our school hall to life throughout the week in many creative learning opportunities.

We are proud to announce that Year 4/5 Vivid have been one of sixteen primary schools chosen to perform at Sydney Region Dance Festival.

One could be excused for not automatically linking Year 5 students and ballroom dancing, however, this year at Darlinghurst PS, ballroom dancing lessons have become a much loved part of the Year 5 weekly routine. With the guidance of ballroom dance teacher, Karina Schembri, students are working towards mastering the complexities of graciously stepping and sliding across a polished floor to the Cha Cha, Tango, Salsa and Jive!

Year 5 are being taught by dance instructor, Karina Schembri. Karina is an Australian Professional Latin Champion, whose recent achievements include appearing and choreographing for Dancing with the Stars.
